  • Will AquaPrompt support saving and loading files?
    Yes! As of 1.2 AquaPrompt now supports saving and loading files. Files are saved in .rtfd format and files can be loaded from any plain-text or rich-text format as well as Word .doc files.
  • Will AquaPrompt support multiple monitors?
    AquaPrompt currently supports the ability to choose which monitor to run on. We hope to implement true multi-monitor support by allowing you to display the prompter on one monitor and control it from another, but this won't be available for a little while at least. Look for it in a future update though.
  • Lit
  • How do I set up the keyboard shortcut?
    Setting up the service shortcut is a one-time step and makes Lit super-easy to trigger.
    1. Download Lit and put it in your Applications folder. Launch it once for good measure.
    2. Go to System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Keyboard Shortcuts -> Services.
    3. Near the bottom of the list, find the item called “Show All Menubar Items with Lit”. Make sure it’s checked.
    4. Double-click near the right side of the row and type your preferred shortcut. I suggest Ctrd+Opt+Cmd+L, but you can use whatever you want.
    5. Close System Preferences and try your shortcut - Lit should launch at your command!
  • How do I report an incompatible app?
    If you find an app that’s not compatible with Lit, you’ll know because as soon as you click the item in the menubar, both Lit and the app will close. In that case open Console (found in /Applications/Utilities) and look for the correct entry. It should say:
    Lit: Terminating for switch to Bundle ID:
    When you find the correct one, copy the item, go to Contact Us and include that entry in the email. I’ll add the application to the incompatibility list and contact you so you can ensure it works. It’s that simple.
  • Licensing
  • I didn't receive my license key!
    If you didn't receive your license key at the email address linked with your PayPal account, double-check your spam folder. Sometimes they get stuck in there.
    If you haven't received the license within an hour and it's not in spam, Contact Us and we'll get things straightened out.
  • My license file isn't accepted.
    If your license key doesn't work, check to make sure your email provider didn't add a .xml extension to the license:
    1. Right-click on the file and choose "Get Info"
    2. Under "Name & Extension" make sure the license ends in ".aquapromptlicense" (without quotes). If it ends with ".xml" remove it. Then try again.
    If this still doesn't work, Contact Us and we'll work everything out.
